So Russian genocide in Ukraine is fair payback for My Lai, Falluja, the CIA covert ops coups in Iran, Brazil, Chile and Guatemala? What's the rationale for making Ukraine pay for decades old American imperial crimes?

Under this logic you'd:

Make the USSR pay for the genocidal Holodomor in Ukraine and its mass murders and deportations in the Baltic States by not giving it Lend Lease aid against the Germans.

Make the British pay for the 1919 Amritsar murders by not giving them aid to fight the Germans in 1940-45.

Make the French pay for their imperial crimes in Algeria by not liberating France from the Germans. So let's not have D-Day. Same for the Belgians in the Congo and Rwanda and the Dutch in Indonesia.
