You fail at basic math: Israel didn't occupy Gaza and the West Bank until 1967--57 years ago this June. From 1948-67 they were occupied by Jordan and Egypt, which proves that the correlation between Arabs refusal to accept Jewish sovereignty in any part of the land of mandatory Palestine and the occupation is a very simple number: zero.
You need a basic history lesson about the Nakba myth, Ottoman and British mandatory Palestine demography and Israel as white settler colonial state myth: https://medium.com/lessons-from-history/palestine-israel-slogan-demolition-in-nine-minutes-59eb99f88836
And Palestinians' national identity is pure tactical invention as its Fatah (Cairo-born Arafat and PLO commander Zuheir Mohsen) and Hamas' Fathi Hamad have said.
Israel is the most improbably successful country on earth--startup nation built from nothing to a GDP per capita of $55k (vs $3770 for Egypt). The only possible comparisons are Taiwan, Singapore and South Korea. Israel combines a booming economy with a high birth rate, unique in the developed world.

This is what drives the Arabs crazy. Their identity is that they possess Allah's final revelation and the Jews they held in jizya hostage and subjugation for 13 centuries are a wildly successful startup nation with more non-US companies on the Nasdaq than any other in the world and they're misgoverned failures. The UAE, Bahrain and Morocco figured out, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. The Saudis were about to agree when Hamas broke an existing ceasefire because they saw their human shield kleptocracy live in luxury in Doha biz model threatened.
I never supported Crime Minister Netanyahu's mow the grass divide and rule strategy. But that's another conversation entirely.
War crimes and who's right aren't a numbers game. 15x as many German civilians died in Allied bombings as Brits died in German bombings. Who was right?
Hundreds of time more Japanese civilians died in American bombings as Americans died at Pearl Harbor. Who was right?
The ratio of civilian to combatant casualties in Gaza is many times lower than in the 2016 siege of Mosul, which illustrates the lengths to which the IDF goes to prevent them, putting its own troops at risk to do so.
