You can't be educated without understanding at least the basics of history, politics, economics, philosophy, evolution, the history of physics, mathematics and astronomy. Please explain how to gain exposure to all of this and develops critical thinking without going to a high quality university or college. #2 is typically American anti-intellectual cant. And my graduate history education was far more useful than my MBA for making investment decisions. My MBA would never have taught me that shorting 20m yen in 2013 when Shinzo Abe became PM was the trade of a lifetime. But knowing his history and his Class A war criminal grandfather's did.
