We live in Porto, an ocean of temptation by the ocean. But it's a question of priorities.
1. Choose food or the sport you love. For me it's beachfront basketball in Castelo do Queijo and playing with four different groups on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Food = gravity. Lunch = more gravity, which is the enemy of speed. Strip out basketball and insert whatever sport whose addiction level exceeds food.
2. Choose food or having your body do what you want it to do. Nutrition is a grim science like economics: raise taxes or cut spending (burn it to earn it or cut consumption). It's just accounting similar to being an emerging market government negotiating with the IMF.
3. Don't give a damn about what anybody else thinks. Do not drink from the attention economy firehose. Turn off its tap.
