This is a classic example of superficial plug n play evidence-free jump to conclusion "reasoning". ChatGPT can't do Tim Snyder. And anyone who can't tell the difference between ChatGPT and Tim Snyder's talk inaugurating Boston University's Holocaust and Human Rights Studies Center is a genuine useful idiot. Here's the short 19 minute version for limited attention spans that can't digest only intellectual fast food and not nuanced haute cuisine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wUWN2am8QI&t=582s

I manually removed the minute markers from the youtube video transcript, assuming anyone curious enough to read evidence of systematic genocide by Russia in Ukraine could read the transcript faster than listen to Tim Snyder's video.

I'm ok with the Chinese mediation proposal because the premise is territorial integrity, The Russians will never accept it since it would nullify their September 21 annexations of four Ukrainian regions and Crimea, including their Sebastopol naval base.

A Korea-type armistice is a possible outcome after Ukraine breaks the land bridge to Crimea and retakes its ports on the Sea of Azov. This would isolate Crimea and trigger a mass evacuation. Then Russia would be desperate to freeze the conflict in place while Ukraine would see this guaranteeing its viability as a state since Sebastopol could no longer threaten Ukrainian ports. But the armistice would likely be a hot one like the Egypt-Israel sporadic war of attrition from 1967-1970. Not open total war, but not peace either.

Real peace won't come until the current Russian regime falls and Russia renounces imperial kleptocracy as a business model.
