The thinking here is as sloppy as its spelling, and completely lost without a moral GPS in Russified Whataboutistan.
I saw George Carlin live on Long Island in 1973 when I was #96 in the draft lottery. The Vietnam War for the US ended 29 days before my 18th birthday. Neither Carlin nor I imagined that half a century later a right wing Republican Russian asset in the White House and a Razzhist Russian kleptocrat would team up to trigger a second Russian genocide against Ukraine (the Holodomor being the first) while the American left was supporting the FBI and the CIA. Once or twice a century a really evil SOB and his western useful idiots show up to make the usually criminal American empire look good by comparison. Had you asked me about such a possibility in 1973 I'd have asked "what are you smoking and can I have some?". But that's where we are in the genocidal war started by Putin on my 67th birthday. That the USA is a plutocrats' plantation with large parts of FDR's New Deal and LBJ's Great Society reversed by galloping inequality changes NOTHING about Putin's genocidal war.
And that, as a permanent resident of two EU countries, one bordering Russia, I care more about nearby neighbors than Niger, has nothing to do with race and everything to do with it being human nature to care more about nearby than distant neighbors.
In Ukraine you have a choice between two empires, Russian vs American. None of the above isn't offered in the history restaurant, which has two dishes: bad and worse. Get over it.
