The mulligan line is mine.

No conflict gets solved without understanding it. No understanding is possible without accurate knowledge of its history.

FDR and Churchill understood the German history of the stab in the back myth, what half-defeated empires do and Russian paranoia. Hence the policy of unconditional surrender issued in 1943.

You have a choice:

1. Give the Arabs another mulligan and tell Israelis they have to co-exist with people that want to behead or kidnap their babies and tell Jews around the world to suck it up and put up with the protestor pogrom chanting "normalize massacre", "fuck the Jews, rape their daughters" (Finchley Road, London, 2021) and "gas the Jews" (Sydney opera house aria), and British publishers boycotting all Jewish authors, or...

2. Tell the Palestinians that 1948 is closed forever, their War of Return is over, there will be no return to Muslim supremacist dhimmitude and Jewish sovereignty in the Jews' ancestral land is forever. This means shutting down UNRWA and turning its functions over to the WFP and the UNHCR, which will cancel the idiocy of inherited refugee status of supermodel and US citizen Bella Hadid and millions of other Arabs in the West Bank and Gaza.

Choose #1 and you feed into the Hamas and PA propaganda on https://palwatch.org and https://memritv.org and guarantee more war.

Choose #2 and you row with the Abraham Accords, the Arab Zionists of the UAE and Bahrain who acknowledge that Jewish sovereignty belongs in the Middle East and see its acceptance as the only road to a modern pluralist future for the Arab world.

This is not a land dispute but a cultural war between a theocratic jihadi death cult and civilization.

Compromise between #1 and #2 is no more possible than it was with Nazis and Kamikaze pilots in 1943-45.

There are problems that can only be managed and mitigated, but not solved.
