Plausible except for the Texas turning blue part. I'd expect Georgia, Arizona or Nevada to be the trigger states.
The cosplay weekend warrior militia crowd will fold when faced with real federal force. A more violent version of January 6 is possible. But the troops turning on their officers like Russia in 1917 or Paris in 1870? I doubt it.
