Our 11 am basketball was delayed by a Porto high school girls basketball game. Lots of fun to watch. The winning team wasn't more talented, just more disciplined and with better teamwork. I expect that many more of today's 15-17 year olds will play with and coach teenage girls in 2073. I've seen no Portuguese woman older than about 22 playing basketball.

When I was a business school prof in Riga I played basketball every week with students from my school and others. One week I had three women students as teammates against a team of four guys who were bigger, stronger and faster, but didn't lacked teamwork. Before the game I told them, play as a team with fast passing, screens and on defense and you'll win. Above all, don't let them smell weakness and push back if they push you around. We beat the guys 11-6 in 20 minutes. They never knew what hit them. I still remember how shocked they looked.
