Nazism genocidally excludes Jews. Jews can be fascists, but not Nazis. Mussolini had Jewish ministers in his government before 1938. Menachem Begin wore a blackshirt in 1939. Every nationality has idiots who adore uniforms and xenophobic muscular nationalism. But today’s Azov is not the same as the Azov of 2014. They’ve been absorbed into Ukraine’s regular army. The US military has lots of white supremacists in its ranks. That doesn’t mean the US military is Nazi or fascist. The chain of command guarantees that if they step out of line, they’ll be dishonorably discharged.

Is there a danger that the Azov of 2014 might return after the war is over? Not if Zelensky, Kolomoisky and Poroshenko have anything to say about it.
