Nazi Trump and Fact-Free Narcissistic Nationalism

"You people in Minnesota have the best genes" irrefutably and unmistakably refers to their collective Nordic biological inheritance as superior to other peoples' biological inheritance. Additional Trump statements saying "let's take immigrants from Norway and not these shithole (meaning nonwhite) countries" confirm this thesis.

It's Occam's Razor at work: no other interpretation is possible or reasonable because the simplest explanation tightly fits the evidence like a glove. All other explanations force us into complex cognitive and rhetorical evasions and gymnastics that are the equivalent of the Church's attempts to refute Galileo, to which he replied, "eppure, si muove." The Church took three centuries to accept reality (in 1942).

Since you have less time, I suggest you make the most of it and rejoin the reality-based community. But if you prefer the emotional satisfactions of "owning the libs" and chest-thumping narcissistic "we're the greatest" nationalism whose idiocy the rest of the world laughs at, that's your choice.

That you define Venice Beach, California, where I encountered the tattoed Nazi, as overseas indicates you're not from the west coast. Gotta love that American sense of geography. Pass a law banning invasion of any country that half of the US population can't find on a map and we'd never go to war again.

That you interpret my expertise in the history of Nazi Germany and other fascist regimes (one of my UCLA profs worked for the USAF's Strategic Bombing Survey in Germany in 1945-46), as being "enthralled" with them is testimony to the right wing mind's capacity for reality evasion (only in America am I considered leftist. When I lived in Italy I was viewed as a center-right free libertarian).

If you think the American way of life is superior to all others, you need to get a passport and travel. The citizens of many other countries have a higher quality of life, much longer paid vacations and daycare, better health and education outcomes, social mobility, longer lifespans and more freedom from financial pressure and random violence with less stress and shorter workweeks than Americans (FI, SE, N, DK, ISL, DE, NL, FR, IT, BE, NZ, AU, CDN, the UAE, QTR, CH, AT, LU, EE, SG, TW). By no objective measure of human welfare do you live in the world's richest, healthiest or freest nation. None. And there's a large body of research showing that large parts of the rural and deindustrialized urban US have living conditions and social immobility equivalent to third world countries, should you care to read it.

The postwar American opportunity society I grew up in and that educated my WWII veteran father with the GI Bill is dead. You live in a neo-feudal plutocrats' plantation like pre FDR America.

But thanks for cutting my capital gains taxes, which came out of your healthcare, public transport, closed rural hospitals and the rural broadband you may not have. Expect no trickle down. (BTW, I never EVER consider tax rates when evaluating an investment.)
