My history buffery includes:

1. Two years' grant-funded research in Spanish archives studying the Spanish civil war and interviewing that war's veterans in exile in southern France and in Barcelona.

2. Six years in the UCLA history Masters and PhD programs; 2 years as a TA.

3. Four years teaching ancient and modern history to undergrads in Riga Business School. Yep, in Latvia BBAs take non-biz courses.

4. Three published journal articles, including first prize in the UCLA History Journal in 1985.

About the Ossi and South African analogies: read Hamas' charter and watch the Palestinians' imams' sermons on https://palwatch.org/.

In 1948 Azzam Pasha, the Sec Gen of the Arab League proclaimed a "war of extermination". Take them at their genocidal word. Nothing has changed except in Bahrain, Morocco, the UAE, Egypt and Jordan. And only repeated defeats changed the minds of the last two to move from war to very cold peace.

"Israeli apartheid": an anti-semitic lie, as Sophia Khalifa, Stanford MBA and Muslim daughter of an illiterate Bedouin mother, makes clear:

Jewish sovereignty is non-negotiable.

Questioning Jews' right to sovereignty is double standards anti-semitism unless you're an anarchist who questions all other state sovereignties.

Jewish statehood is essential to Jewish survival.

I'm not going back to my grandfather's Kishinev of 1903. Anyone who proclaims an intention to send us back to that and then acts on that intention militarily signs his own death sentence.
