Jesus was also a Jewish Zealot rebel who wanted the Romans out of Israel. Since Mr. Wight continues to deny the right of the Jewish people to a state of their own, this fact is, of course, lost on him.

The German Social Democrats August Bebel and Ferdinand Kronawetter called anti-semitism, the only hatred that is planetary and a conspiracy theory about the hidden power of the hatred's target, "the socialism of fools". (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antisemitism_is_the_socialism_of_fools).

They had in mind people like Mr. Wight, who combines denial of Jewish sovereignty with Russian genocide apology and denial of Ukrainians right to a state of their own within internationally recognized borders. But Russia's useful idiots, to use KGB defector Yuri Bezmenov's term, bend reality to the point that a state with a Jewish president and PM and a Crimean Tatar Muslim defense minister needs to be "de-Nazified".

Capitalist fundamentalists believe we can survive a system that's all market and no social.

Communist and socialist fundamentalists believe the reverse, that a system that's all social and no market can work. Both are wrong.

I'd happily buy Mr. Wight's one way ticket to Havana, Caracas, Pyongyang or the Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius of 1990 so he could empirically test his theories. If anyone had bothered to look at how communists had turned Riga's beautiful Jugendstil buildings into decrepit hulks filled with communal apts its residents were desperate to leave when I first came to Riga in 1998, we'd have saved billions in defense spending. They happily took the cash we offered them to buy their own apts or houses in Riga's Soviet suburbs to stop sharing living and cooking space with drunks and have their own private property. I have lots of before and after photos of the three apts I renovated from 1999-2003 to illustrate the difference.

Or perhaps he'd prefer a communal apt in 1990 Riga to where he lives now or happily pay a far higher % of his income and wait five years to buy an Ossi Trabi instead of a Wessi Mercedes or BMW.

Such are the examples of communist "success" Mr. Wight trumpets. Even those making the minimum salary of 620.00/month here aren't buying what Mr. Wight is offering.

Communists and free market and efficient market fundamentalists share one thing: an Einsteinian definition of insanity--trying the same thing over and over again and expecting a better result. Even Communists Lenin and Deng Hsiao Ping understood they needed markets to function, instituting the NEP, New Economic Policy, and China's market reforms starting in 1979.

BTW, the crash came in October 1929 and the depression was triggered by the protectionist Smoot Hawley Tariff Act of May 1930. The Great Depression did not begin in the "late 1920s".

And Constantine's conversion happened at the Battle of the Milvan Bridge in 312 CE--in the 4th century, not the third.
