Israel's intelligence failures came from Netanyahu being Mr. Security for settlers and the diversion of resources from Gaza to the West Bank. The idea that the Mossad deliberately allowed the Hamas attack to happen is sick paranoid, obscene anti-semitic drivel akin to Lavrov's Jews can be Nazis too calumny.

A basic lesson in Hamas' mafia with a green flag human shield business model from Palestinians themselves:

The Palestinian peace activist Bassam Eid defined the difference:

Hamas: uses people to protect rockets.

Israel: uses rockets to protect people.

Hamas clearly loves killing Jews more than it loves Palestinian children, and has said as much:

https://www.dnaindia.com/world/report-israel-hams-war-updates-israeli-forces-share-phone-call-with-gazan-claims-hamas-is-stopping-evacuation-3064696In his book Son of Hamas, the son of a Hamas founder, Mosab Hassan Yousef, confirmed Bassam Eid's view of the PLO and Hamas as mafiosi with a human shield business model:

"I spent 27 months in Israeli prisons. I grew up witnessing the first Palestinian Intifada and I had no idea what was going on as a child. I was fed with hatred that Israel was our enemy and Israel was the source of our suffering while the Palestinian leadership from Arafat to Mahmoud Abbas to Abu Jihad all of them were sitting in Tunisia spending billions of dollars. In the meantime they were sending children to die throwing stones facing Israeli soldiers. I was one of them they used to send to the slaughterhouse. They wanted us to die. The shepherd thought how many sheep I'm going to sacrifice today to get the attention of the world so maybe we get some more funds. So they decided to slaughter 100 sheep, 200 sheep. Then Hamas came later….and they did the same thing using children and women as a human shields in Gaza."

Nearly 20 years later the March 2019 "We Want to Live" protests against Hamas' rule showed how right Yousef was and Eid is:

"Hamas has billions of dollars in investments in many countries, while people [in Gaza] starve to death and migrate in search of work," said another activist, Amer Balosha, during the social media event. He highlighted the plight of more than 100 Gazans, now imprisoned in Turkey after trying to travel illegally to Greece in search of new lives in Europe. "Hamas, which is responsible for their efforts to emigrate due to its policies, did not intervene to release them," continued Mr Balosha, a 29-year-old law graduate of Al-Azhar University. He now lives in Istanbul after being arrested by Hamas police for his role as an organiser of the 14 March Movement, which was instrumental in the protests in 2019.

In 2019, demonstrations over the high price of food and lack of jobs brought hundreds of Gazans out on the streets of city centres and refugee camps. They were of a scale and intensity that had not previously been seen under Hamas's iron rule. Videos shared online showed security services hitting people and shooting live ammunition into the air to disperse the crowds.

Hamas accused its political rival, Fatah, which dominates the PA, of being behind the protests. However, many young Palestinians criticise both factions, accusing all of the Palestinian leadership of ignoring their daily strife.

One widely circulated video from the ongoing protests shows a woman in central Gaza angry that her husband and four sons have no jobs. Meanwhile, she says, "the sons of Hamas leaders have houses and jeeps and cars, and can get married while ordinary people have nothing, not even a piece of bread".

Jewish sovereignty is not negotiable no matter how long Palestinians dream of "from the river to the sea" and include Tel Aviv, Haifa and Jaffa in their definition of "occupied Palestine".

PLO: Arafat said in English the Oslo Accords were a "peace of the brave" , but in Arabic he said they were a temporary hudna (truce):

""Since we cannot defeat Israel in war, we do this in stages. We take any and every territory that we can of Palestine, and establish a sovereignty there, and we use it as a springboard to take more. When the time comes, we can get the Arab nations to join us for the final blow against Israel."

Israel: the 1993 Oslo Accords were a stepping stone on the way to two state final status.

Remember that the PLO was founded in 1964, three years before the Six Day War brought the West Bank and Gaza under Israeli occupation. The difference between the Fatah and Hamas is TACTICAL, not a difference of final objective. Both share the rejectionist dream of "from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free". Hamas' "political goals were identical to those of the PLO's charter and was essentially an armed struggle to retrieve the entire land of Palestine as an Islamic waqf".

Both Hamas and the PLO view ALL of Palestine as Waqf land, an inalienable Muslim inheritance that can never be negotiated away.
