Israel has no genocidal covenant. Hamas and the PLO do.

Same thing happened again in 2008 after Abbas rejected PM Olmert's offer of a Palestinian state in a deal virtually identical to the Clinton parameters of July 2000 that Arafat also rejected, which Saudi ambassador Prince Bandar called "a crime and a betrayal".
Hamas has nothing in common with the Viet Cong, ETA that assassinated Carrero Blanco in December 1973, the FMLN in El Salvador, the Sandinistas in 1979, French, Dutch, Belgian, Yugoslav, Polish and Italian anti-Nazi resistance in 1941-45. You stain the term "resistance" associated with these movements by including Hamas as their peer. Again, intentions define war crimes. Hamas' human shield business model, openly advertised by its leaders, causes civilian casualties. Fire an RPG from a hospital and that hospital becomes a legitimate military target according to the Geneva Convention.
And Hamas' child soldiers of 14-18 should not be counted as civilians. Islamofascist Hamas is a totalitarian death cult and its Gaza Health Ministry should be renamed the Gaza Death Ministry.
Accusing Jews of Nazi behavior is classically anti-semitic Jew taunting and Holocaust trivilization designed to wound. Its utter inaccuracy is clear from this picture of what proportionate Israeli response would really look like:

Let's add:
1. Muslim community centers in Buenos Aires, NY and London blown up by Jewish terrorists.
2. Caravans of Jews driving through Dearborn, Marseilles and Parisian suburbs chanting, "fuck the Muslims, rape their daughters".
3. Armed guards stationed in front of every mosque in Europe and America.
4. Jews in NY demonstrating with chants of "gas the Muslims".
5. Jewish demonstrators and their gentile sympathizers in NY, London, Paris, Berlin, Madrid, LA, Toronto, Warsaw, Rome and dozens of other cities around the world chanting "keep the world clean" with signs picturing crescents on green flags in trash cans and "from the Nile to the Euphrates, Israel will be free (of Muslims is understood)".
In 1991 when Saddam's SCUDs were raining down on Israel during the first Gulf War, an FT correspondent interviewed a "high Israeli govt official" about what might happen if one of the SCUDs should carry a chemical weapon. The reply:
"The gassing of Jews again in this century would invite the return of Baghdad to the status of desert."
The world should thank Israel for never coming within a country mile of "proportionate response".
