In January at Castelo do Quiejo in Porto I was playing beachfront streetball in a t-shirt while people in NY were shovelling snow.
The fresh fish you can buy for 3-6 euros/kg in Porto supermarkets is even better than the wine.
We just rented a near the beach apt in Matosinhos for November to May.
