I'm no saint (Jews don't have them). Mr. Dunn provides me with too much Russian useful idiocy raw material not to be polite. But I appreciate your excess of optimism.
Dunn also seems to mean well, while deluded that his customer service deescalation skill set is a kind of universal joint applicable to all situations. But it's nothing but narcissistic hubris, like Michael Jordan thinking he could play baseball ⚾️. Geopolitical conflict is not an interpersonal therapy problem solvable by flipping a forgiveness or reconciliation switch. It's a conflict between irreconcilable opposites and which will have a future and which we'll see only in history books (Greeks vs Persian empire, Jews vs Nazis, Democracy vs Soviet Communism, Franquismo, Salazar's Estado Novo).
Mr. Dunn's peace is the peace of his prior surrender advice to Ukraine. It is the desert the Russians would create and call peace. Anne Applebaum just published a good description of this alternate reality in The Atlantic.
