I'm a morning person who likes working in the morning: 1 or 2 in the morning.

Concerts in the two Porto jazz clubs we went to officially begin at 11 pm, in reality at 11:30.

Portuguese social life is characterized by great affection and kindness, but minimal planned followup contact. I play basketball with three different groups and one of my mates has been planning to have lunch with me for two years. But I know he means well.

But it's impossible to argue with a city that has a beachfront basketball court that provides a dive into the Atlantic right after the game. Porto humidity is a small price to pay for that.

Transport in Porto: Rotunda Boavista near where we live is a 3-4 euro Uber or Bolt ride from the beach. There are several things in life that are better to rent than to own, among them, cars and boats. You own stuff, stuff owns you.
