I thought the T2T ratio in WWII was 1 to 12.
90 divisions x 12 to 15k each to 16m total personnel. My dad was at the tail end of the tail: x-ray technician in McCook, Nebraska, El Paso and Arizona.
Two of his childhood friends were less lucky, surviving 25 missions on a B17 and Normandy hedgerows.
