Having lived in L.A. from 1979-86, I speculated in the same vein while watching America's derailment. But if it happens the five Oregon counties that want to secede and join Idaho might bolt. Secessions are like matrioshki; inside one you'll find another. Fresno and Bakersfield could become a Californian version of Donbass, but without the war.
