Happy New Year!

Arguing with a global pandemic was like any other argument with reality: a sure loser. Being from NY, I hate to lose arguments.

I stopped chasing business, became a writer, took long walks in the snow with my wife to pass the A-2 Latvian state language exam to get Schengen forever permanent residence, played more basketball, learned tennis, swam a km/day at our Jurmala beach in the summer, mountain biked in our beachfront forest, ate the tasty sushi my wife learned to make, made Porto our warm weather winter home, rehabbing my summer of 1974 Carnation Revolution Portuguese (beachfront streetball in a t-shirt yesterday).

Let go of what reality tells you you cannot have, find joy in what you can and discover what you'd mistakenly ignored.
