Getting killed doesn't win wars. This is what Wagner and Putin, serial conquerors of Bakhmut garbage dumps and petrol stations, don't understand. Written by a Russian: https://www.thebulwark.com/the-death-cult-keeping-russia-in-ukraine/
I agree with Stalin, Khrushchev and Zhukov: the Soviets could not win without Lendlease.
Whether the US could have defeated Germany without the Soviets by using a nuclear weapon on Berlin or Hamburg is a totally speculative counterfactual. But without a nuclear weapon, the Anglo-American alliance could not have defeated Germany alone.
The Red Army division that liberated Auschwitz was 90% Russian: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/322nd_Rifle_Division
My twin friend Otto Klein they liberated never mentioned the nationality of his liberators.
"Those who could leave trickled out on their own or in small groups. “There were fears that the Germans would return, which for us would only mean death,” said Otto Klein, a Jewish adolescent who had survived medical experiments by infamous Nazi doctor Joseph Mengele along with his twin brother, Ferenc. Together with a group of 36 people, most of them twins, the Kleins headed toward Kraków, and eventually out of Poland, on foot. Not everyone chose to go: Others stayed in the camp to help former prisoners, including about 90 former prisoners who gave vital assistance to the Soviet and Red Cross hospitals."

Many camp guards were Red Army POWs who enlisted to avoid starving to death. Soviet POWs who didn't become guards were the most likely escapees, as in Sobibor.
I don't need your intro to Chomsky. I met him at MIT in 1977. Great on Vietnam, Iraq and the Spanish Civil War. On Ukraine and Israel I pay no attention to him: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LG1txVP2pZs
Paraphrasing Orwell shows what he doesn't get: all empires are criminal, but some empires are more criminal than others.
