Don't like the West? Move to the east or south, but not before solving for us the mystery of why theocratic Muslims want to migrate to the secular better governed West. Why do rich Chinese and Russians want to stash their capital in the rule of law property rights West?

If you think it's such a great idea to reverse 1492, here's what you're asking for:

Let's bring back the human-sacrificing Aztecs and the Anasazi cannibals (https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1998-dec-20-me-55814-story.html)

Let's reverse the 19th century Royal Navy's enforcement of the slave trade ban. I'm sure the Spanish owners of the Amistad would love that.

Let's bring back the Arab slave traders to Zanzibar.

Let's bring back widows on funeral pyres in India.

Let's reverse the results of the battles of Thermopylae, Salamis and Marathon. Fancy learning Persian over Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Euripides, Aristophanes, Euclid, Archimedes, Pericles, Sophocles?

Let's reverse the results of the battle of Poitiers. Fancy learning Arabic instead of French? I prefer France's 1905 law separating church and state to Sharia law. But you may feel differently.

But let Rafe Heydel Mankoo introduce some reality into the question: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O02RrKCZ64Y&t=15s

The Dutch invented the modern world with their fiscal-military bond market state to get rid of their Spanish overlords. https://medium.com/illumination/how-the-dutch-invented-the-modern-world-895ae234fd44

The English copied them with the 1688 Glorious Revolution and the Americans copied the copy (Alexander Hamilton called it "Dutch finance"). Everybody else adapts and prospers, or refuses to adapt and stays poor or, at best, falls into a China-style middle income trap. Get over it.

There are many different varieties of rule of law capitalism to choose from, each with policy virtues and vices. Which you prefer will depend on your priorities.

The West isn't a geography, but an institutional and rule of law matrix that yields more human flourishing and prosperity than any other governance model.

Read Why Nations Fail by James Robinson and Daron Acemoglu to understand this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsZDlBU36n0&t=4s

Western liberal democracy and capitalism are awful systems--except for all the others our species has tried.
