D-Day a Turning Point?

One word reply: Bagration.

D-Day is not among the ten biggest battles of WWII. With or without D-Day, the Soviets would have reached Berlin, though likely not before the atomic bomb testing on July 16, 1945.

This article perpetuates the myth that the eastern front was a sideshow when it was the Soviets who "tore the guts out of Hitler's war machine" (Churchill's words). 7/8 German soldiers killed died on the eastern front. Soviet casualties in just the battles of Stalingrad and Moscow exceeded all US and UK soldiers killed in the entire war.
