Here's what happens to the Arab world's intellectual infidels, innovators and dissidents: https://medium.com/lessons-from-history/islam-and-intellectual-infidels-b83b6cdcb7fc .
They always lose to power. Nowadays, Arab compromisers and peacemakers risk assassination. Ask King Abdullah of Jordan, 1951. He actually preferred having a Jewish state as a neighbor to a new Arab republic in the land the UN allocated to mandatory Palestine's Arabs.
Arab contempt for Palestinians is no longer so secret. Listen to this 3 minute sample of Saudi geopolitical road rage against Palestinian stubborn refusal to accept reality:

Egypt and Jordan don't want Gaza and the West Bank they ruled from 1948-67. Elderly Gazans remember the brutality of Nasser's rule and how he brought in thousands of Egyptian settlers, who, of course, now have inherited UNRWA granted "refugee" status, as the Cairo-born Arafat did.
The sine qua non of a settlement: complete demolition of the Palestinian delusion that the outcome of the 1948 and 1967 wars can be reversed and deprogramming the death cult jihadi empire of the mind that rules Palestinians and the pan-Arab street they think supports them.
ALL of Hamas' useful idiot protestors who can't name the river in the "from the river to the sea" slogan, are, of course, utterly oblivious to this entire history.
