How do we know occupation, settlements and Nakba have zero correlation to Muslim supremacist war on Jewish sovereignty and Muslim on Muslim mass murder? Hizbullah is no less jihadi and genocidal about Jews than Hamas and Fatah. In Lebanon there is no occupation, no Jewish settlements and there was no Nakba. Thus, the correlation between Islamist terror and Israeli behavior is a very simple number: zero. It’s the fact of Israel’s existence that is the cause. Then look at Muslim on Muslim mass murder in Darfur, Syria, Yemen, Iraq, Libya, Turkiye’s repression of its Kurdish minority, ISIS’ genocide of Yazidis, the Iranian mullahs’ murders of Iranian women and repression of its Baluch and Kurdish minorities. Now imagine Israel doesn’t and never did exist. What would change? Would Muslim political practice suddenly be less violent or resemble Norway or the Netherlands? Answer: nothing and no.
So the best explanation for Muslim societies’ rampant political violence is the theocratic values universe Muslims have built for themselves. They should look in the mirror to find the explanation for their misery.
